SAM stands for Systems, AI, Marketing. The AI part is what your buyers see. The marketing part is what the AI reads. The systems part is what keeps it true after I have gone. Most businesses are only missing one of the three, and the audit tells you which. I spent my career making complicated things run reliably inside large, heavily regulated organisations — the kind where a process has to work the same way every time, for years, with real money riding on it. That is the part most agencies cannot do.

Because the way people find a business changed, and most of the advice did not. Someone used to search, scan a page of links, and choose. Now they ask, and they get one answer. If you are not in it, you are not being compared. You are not being seen at all.

I went looking for someone doing serious work on this and mostly found agencies repositioning old decks and startups selling dashboards. Very few people were doing the unglamorous part: making sure the machine can find you, understand what you actually do, and have a reason to name you.

So I do that work myself. An audit that grades eight things and names the single one worth fixing first, then the fix. I take on a few businesses at a time because I am one person — and I would rather that be obvious than dressed up as a team. Where something cannot be measured, I say so instead of scoring it.
